Vote Benefit

Today marks the inauguration of the 45th President of the United States. Regardless of your politics our world has dramatically changed. As the founder of a business focussed on helping companies benefit society and the environment across North America I believe there is a new opportunity for the voices of women, the marginalized and so many others to be heard.

Debate

The Trump platform has, and no doubt will continue to foster debate globally. Debate by its very nature demands that you take a position and then publicly hash out your arguments. And given that President Trump is a self proclaimed ‘ratings machine’ the publicity surrounding current issues will grow for all sides. This is will be a good thing.

Vote with your wallet

When companies take a clear position through an integrated mission it’s easier for us as consumers to make buying decisions that support our personal values, ethics and purpose. Brand for Benefit was founded on the eve of the inauguration. We exist to help companies educate, influence and help their customers contribute to the debate with their wallet.

Choose a B Corp

One way to identify a like minded purpose driven company is through its certifications. B Corps are for-profit companies certified by the nonprofit B Lab to meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.  Food products with the USDA Organic or Non-GMO Project Verified seal of approval are often also mission driven organizations.

Whatever your position, it is good to know where the brands and companies in your lives stand.

Brand for Benefit is committed to helping companies discover, certify and share their greater mission as a path to growth. Our goal is to shift business from margin to mission with better results. Our aspiration quite simply is to do good business better.

CEO Carolyn Ansley is an award winning marketer, entrepreneur and mother who believes using business for good is good business.
